Learn to Sell on eBay the Right Way!

The education specialist program offers a fantastic opportunity for everyone who would like to learn how to sell on eBay the right way. There are many copy-cat “claim to fame” sorts of instructors, but the true educators are those that have the proper teachings and are backed by eBay.

Education specialists trained by eBay not only instruct, but they know first hand how to sell because they too are selling directly on the eBay platform.

Education specialists or ES’s as we like to be called, take that name very seriously. And yes, I too am an Education specialist trained by eBay!

Finding an official ES in your area is simple. Search the eBay directory by zip code.

If you are in the Genesee/Oakland County, MI area you can find my classes at: Instructor Profile.

Organizations can benefit as well! Having an ES teach a class at your facility is a win-win situation for all.

I’ve been teaching classes for the Davison Community Enrichment and Recreation program for several years now. I will be teaching at the Davison Senior Center this month, Delta College this fall and I'm always available for personalized, hands-on, private lessons as well.

I've been an eBay member since 1999. I have been actively involved in selling on eBay for over 9 years and am now a Gold Power Seller. At one time I sold for others but then switched to teaching others how they can sell for themselves.

I really enjoy meeting new people and love showing them how they too can earn money selling their "treasures" on eBay! $$

The world is selling on eBay; Why not you?

If you’ve been thinking about selling on eBay and not sure how to get started, I urge you to find an ES in your area today. Especially during these difficult financial times, turning “stuff” into cash can be fun and profitable!!

When deciding on a class or buying products, ask questions:

  • Are they an Education Specialist trained by eBay?
  • Are they using this logo:
  • Can they be found in the official directory?

Do your research. Don’t be fooled and learn how to sell on eBay the RIGHT way. By an official ES, an Education Specialist Trained by eBay!

To find a local trainer in your area, fill out this form.

I look forward to seeing you on eBay soon!

Have you ever heard this old saying????

Whistling girls and crowing hens always come to the same bad end!

Ever hear this before????

I read it in a book recently and I remember having heard this before but at first I couldn't remember exactly how it went, so I asked nearly a dozen people yesterday (all different ages) and no one had ever heard it before.

I thought it was funny and wondered what folks found so "bad" about girls who liked to whistle.

By the way.....I LOVE to whistle....oh no....LOL

On the road again

Yes, I LOVE accessing the internet while traveling in the car...not driving but as a passenger "mom".

We are heading to Kentucky for our son's graduation from Basic and Advanced training in the Army. He has become a "Tanker". We have not seen him since he returned right after Christmas.

As usual we did not leave "on time". Whenever we leave for any type of road trip we can't ever seem to leave in a timely fashion. I told my husband that since we were looking at an 8 hour drive that I wanted to leave by noon; hoping that we could get on the road by 2pm. We didn't leave our small town until close to 5pm.

We really don't have to be in Kentucky until tomorrow evening but there was no way I was leaving Thursday and stressing out all day hoping we would make it in time for the dinner and reception. This way, we can sleep in tomorrow (since we'll be arriving quite late) and enjoy a relaxed afternoon until we go to the "party".

What a world we live in. I remember traveling as a kid and even when my kids were young; we would be enjoying the scenery, playing the license plate game, singing songs and reading good books. But it's 2009 and times have 'a changed....
  • I am catching up on my email & working remotely accessing my office and home computers
  • My daughter and future daughter-in-law are watching a dvd on her laptop using earbuds
  • One son is listening to music via his ipod and headphones
  • One son is playing video games with his handheld device
  • And last but not least dad and I are listening to a great murder mystery audio book on CD
It does give everyone a choice of their own and I much say although they are mostly "adults" (I use this word loosely...lol) it reduces the amount of arguing!!

This will be our second trip to Fort Knox. This time our son's fiancee is joining us and we are all excited to see Drew. We will only get to visit with him for a few hours at the dinner tomorrow night and then again for just an hour after the graduation Friday morning. He will be ushered to a bus to the airport and then be on his way to California. As Fort Irwin which will soon be his new home is nearly 3000 miles from us I don't imagine we'll be getting to see much of him for the remainder of his enlistment (3 years). Although his fiancee did find a round trip air fare for only $37; hooray for Priceline!!!

Well I'll post again soon. I'm having a hard time thinking about what I'm writing and trying to pay attention to the book on CD so I'll stop here. I'll let you know tomorrow what our hotel is like; I hope not too "scary" LOL.

Happy Trails

You mean I have to "GO" to work???

How can my life become busier and busier with each passing year?

I was told that it gets easier or slower as your kids get older...HA! Whoever thinks that has never had kids. There are all the school functions, sports practices, dentist appointments, church activities, etc., etc., etc. Then throw in boyfriends, girlfriends, fiancees and now spouses.

I have always been a stay-at-home-mom; a decision my husband and I made when we decided to start a family. We had lean times but the sacrifice was worth it.

I've not had a full-time job in nearly 21 years. Two years ago we added an "arm" to my husbands business by selling on eBay. Since then our business has taken off and I'm an integral part. When we added selling on eBay we did so from our home. My husband has always had a separate office and even rented two warehouses. In just two short years we have outgrown our home "office" and we have now consolidated everything into one facility.
I'm really enjoying being able to part in my own garage again; especially in this cold tundra called Michigan. Our basement has empty shelves now and soon shall be transformed back into our finished "family room". The downside to all this revived space at home is that now I must actually get dressed and "go to work".

For two years, I was able to work from home in.....hmmm...lets just say clothing that is inappropriate for the corporate world; in other words my large, fluffy, green robe. Yes, folks, I often worked in my pj's. Not all day mind you....I was usually dressed by....noon....most of the times. See, working from home has it's pros and cons. While I enjoyed the leisureliness of it I did not enjoy the following:
  1. losing my warm parking spot in the garage
  2. having no large room in which to host family functions
  3. employees coming and going
  4. no sanctuary....I was always "at work"

So, since I can't have my cake and eat it too, I have now joined the ranks of millions of other women who must rise early, actually dress and head off to "work".

HOW DO PEOPLE DO THIS EVERYDAY????

Ok, I understand the "how" to go to work everyday but what I don't understand is how they (and primarily I mean moms) get everything else done. It doesn't help that this is our own business. If I was working for someone else I'm sure I wouldn't hesitate running out the door at 5pm and heading home. But since I don't get a paycheck each week it's imperative I do more than just punch the time clock. I find myself saying "I'll catch up on that household task later; I guess we'll eat leftovers "again" and what do you mean you have no more clean underwear".

I've decided that I needed a schedule so I quickly threw one together and so far so good. I'm sure it will need tweaking now and again but at least it's helping me accomplish more before I head off to the office in the morning.

I'm open to suggestions....do you have any good tips for getting everything done, staying organized and not falling behind in all my other responsibilities? I'm listening.......

Until next time....(if I can fit it in...lol)
